Hey again,  The race is on! But Dave is walking away with my Diamond I'll have to see what I can Do. Feeling good but not fast.  Have you seen the temps up here Burr! they keep telling us that it's going to warm up.  Ha!

Race gear and draw prizes can be very distinctive.  The lions share of my wardrobe came from a race packet.  My fashion-conscious Mom might argue that this is not a good thing, but that doesn't bother me because I am a fashion trend-setter rather than a follower. 

Most of us are familiar with the debate over whether or not work colleagues should date one another.  Some say no.  Some say yes.  Some yes but only if they’re not already married to other people.  Yet others say work?  But tasteless jokes about small island nations like Newfoundland aside, I’m wondering if the same question should be asked about Fat-Asses dating Fat-Asses. 

Well we had six keeners show up for the 10:05 ferry to Bowen ... which we almost missed due to blatant disregard for a coned-off section of the walkway. In the end it turned out to be good training for the Midnight Madness run ;)

Anyway, the rains held off for the most part and we looped the lake, with Chris setting a brisk pace while Desmond, Bill, Susan, John and Mark drafted behind. We were back at Snug Cove in just under 50 minutes, feeling like it was a bit more than 7km, given the pace we were keeping.

Jackson and fashion.  I've been informed that this is a classic oxymoron. 

I was raised in a household where Mom encouraged us to dress well and to always look our best.  My Mom has been in the fashion business all of her life, so my brothers, sister and me always got good quality, fashionable gear for birthdays and Christmas.  (We still do!)  Fashion played a strong influence in how I was nurtured.

What a club! If you’ve been fortunate enough to make it to an event you’ve probably taken home a prize or two from one of there many generous sponsors. Well I believe I just hit the jack pot. “But you might think otherwise”

I’ll start out with the prize and then tell you the story. How’s this for a prize, a free entry into the Rock and Ice ultra worth $2,500!! What is the rock and Ice ultra? It’s a 300k six day stage race over the frozen landscape of the Northwest Territories. Starting March 17^th in the town of Yellowknife.

I have a buddy who calls himself a blogger.  While I may have a blog, I don't consider myself a blogger when compared to this buddy.  You see, my buddy is always blogging. 

I don't blog as much as I could, should and ought to.  However, I do work a 60-80 hour week, I make time for friends and family and I play outside a bit.  It's a question of priorities.
