Chilly Willy 2009 Results

Race report for Chilly Willy 100. Better late then never. I have been waiting for the results of the relay groups and list of names but they seem to be fast on running and slow on submitting. They certainly know how to have a good time so I'll make an exception for them "Kal RATS" this time

Dog-friendly runners contribute to passive-aggressive behavior

How about those CAT lovers, eh?

Retiring from Running

Yes, the rumors are true.

Go Deep Results - 2009

14 November 2009 - 15 Starter

2009 Silly Chili Triathlon

More photos are posted to this slideshow.

The Run.  13 starters.  All finished.  When we met at Griffin gym, it was pouring, but the rain mercifully stopped for an hour as we did intervals on Mosquito Creek trail.  Keegan Freeland was the speedster of the group.

H1N1 symptoms

A lot of the discussion at the Silly Chili cook-off yesterday was on the current topic of H1N1.   I thought I would post this as a blog entry, better to pass information than the bug itself.  The main thing is if symptoms are tending towards the H1N1 side, get to the doc for the Tamiflu shot right away!

Gear Soundoff: High Powered Headlamps, which one is best for trail running?

I am buying a LED headlamp to replace my old halogen/LED combination Petzl MYO headlamp. I just ordered an Petzl MYO RXP from Valhalla Pure. But I am having second thoughts and strongly considering the Coast LED Lenser H7 instead.

OT 100 - A True Test on the Trail...

My first 100 miler was not easy, but then, is any 100 miler easy? I don’t think so.

I expected to be more nervous and sleepless on Friday night before the race, and especially at the start. Much to my surprise, I was actually totally relaxed. I can’t figure why because I’m usually a bit nervous before a race of any length, and I would have expected especially nervous before a race of 100 miles, which I’ve never done!

It's just about "GO TIME" for the OT100

100 miles is a long way to run, especially since I've never done it before. It's just about here - starting at 6am CST on Saturday, November 7th!

Canada's very own Ryne Melcher is toeing the line as well and I know he's going to be one of the front runners here in Missouri's inagural 100-mile event - AWESOME!

It's a really exciting time for me, and I look forward to posting a report for CFA after the event concludes...

Best for now,

Jason
