Flash Event

This is a trail run on a trail which many of you have run past but few probably know called the Lower Elsay Trail.  It will take an average of probably around 6-8 hours.  The trail is well marked aside from the entrance, with tree tags.  In general keep cutting across many creeks and gulleys around the same altitude, and do not head towards the water unless you are sure you are on the Lower Elsay Trail.

Tough but pretty. Figure 8 loops in beautiful Kalamalka Provicial Park. Fatass style with one major aid station for your drop bags.

I've made the loops just a bit longer so we only have to do the loops 6 times.

Kal park is beautiful and we should have some nice weather. Easy to find follow the signs to Kallamalka lake Pro Park Cosen Bay vernon BC.

What:

• A fun and free group run with some old friends and maybe some new ones
• 6.3km and 9.8km distances on some great trails
• low-key familiarization run on the Sport (6.3K) and Enduro (9.8K) courses of the 5Peaks Simon Fraser University Race.
• Combination of single-track hiking & biking trails trails. Starts at the top of Burnaby Mountain, drops down to the base of the mountain then back up.

A 33⅓ mile out and back trail run on the Baden Powell Trail between Deep Cove and St Andrews Rd (the road crossing before the hydro substation at Millstream/Craigmohr).
