North Van Looking for Cycling Advisory Committee Members

Fellow Fat Assses: If you have opinions about cycling on the North Shore, and if there is an advocate in you, you might want to consider applying to the Joint Bicycle Advisory Committee. It is a great group with real impact:

Demi de Jussy feedback

Salut to everyone!

Here is a little feedback of my 10km run of last sunday!

After a pretty short night (got sick and my stomach didn't want to keep all the nice food I had for supper) I decided to run that race. It's a nice and soft one passing through forest in the countryside of Geneva. Last year they did it by night and they should do it for next year.

So I finally finish it, feeling not so bad, in 56mn and 64th on 189 women.

My 1st 50 miler - thanks for the inspiration Club Fat Ass friends!!!

Frosty 50

What a day we had!

Most of my extended family were there, including my son. (his first road trip with me.)

Gotfried had a great turn out for what turned out to be a blustery, rainy and sunny day at Lightning Lake and most of the surounding highlands.

I could not have imagined the beauty of the views that we were lucky enogh to witness on this epic trail run.

An event only in it's second year , but already destined to the "Classic" hall of fame for trail Ultras.

Lost and Found

I lost my favorite Club Fat Ass Wear shirt.  For two days I've been completely stumped as to where and how and when - and of course miffed, as the bag that I lost also contained my favorite MEC pants, a fleece sweater and a brand new pair of wool running socks.

Conroy: Plain Insane

Results not yet posted but CFA's Ryan Conroy just finished third at the Plain 108 (or so) mile run in Washington, one of the most brutal ultras in the world, with one of the top-12 times of all time.  Woo-hoo.

Harebrained Running Adventures - My Walk in the Park

One of my favorite hidden gem trail races is the Walk in the Park (WITP) in Kamloops, BC.  I ran it this past weekend under unusual circumstances and figured I'd share the story before my dirty running gear goes through the wash.

Musings on Ultrarunning

I ran my first ultramarathon run (a run longer than the 42.2K marathon distance) in late November 1990.

The Bagger's Essential Companion

Background

A few weeks ago while running the STORMY 50-miler, I got to chatting with my pals Rick and Ken to pass the time.  The Bagger Challenge and our experiences to date were top of mind.
