What a day we had!
Most of my extended family were there, including my son. (his first road trip with me.)
Gotfried had a great turn out for what turned out to be a blustery, rainy and sunny day at Lightning Lake and most of the surounding highlands.
I could not have imagined the beauty of the views that we were lucky enogh to witness on this epic trail run.
An event only in it's second year , but already destined to the "Classic" hall of fame for trail Ultras.
It is a tough race, don't get me wrong, but a must do , for any serious trail runner.
Great turnout, great food, great prizes great memories for everyone tough enough to meet this challenge.
Thanks everyone for just being there and sharing in this wonderful experience.
ILTS!
Two part raw edit..
I might clean them up and add some captions, I kind of like the rawness of it as it is.

A great great race....
Spectacular scenery and amazingly runnable trails (when you're not clmbing). Everyone has to do this race.
Frosty 25
I only signed up for the 25k because I need(ed) to stay fairly fresh for next weekend.
Nevertheless, that was probably the toughest 25k I've ever run. The course was so beautiful however, towards the end I was tempted to keep going and do the second half.
Indeed, this race is destined for the Trail Running Hall of Fame. I'm jealous of everyone that ran the full course. I'll be back for the 50 next year.
