Rock and Ice - The End

I survived!  I’ve had a shower and smelling much better.  It was an amazing experience and have made some great new friends in the process.  I’ll fill you all in when I get back in a few days.  I’m holding my comments about ending the race short.  I’ll just say I was not in on it!
Thanks for all the interest

What a club! If you’ve been fortunate enough to make it to an event you’ve probably taken home a prize or two from one of there many generous sponsors. Well I believe I just hit the jack pot. “But you might think otherwise”

I’ll start out with the prize and then tell you the story. How’s this for a prize, a free entry into the Rock and Ice ultra worth $2,500!! What is the rock and Ice ultra? It’s a 300k six day stage race over the frozen landscape of the Northwest Territories. Starting March 17th in the town of Yellowknife.

Pacing Wader - A New Adventure

Silver BuckleThe Western States 100-Mile endurance Run is the granddaddy of all 100-mile runs.  It's such a popular race, there is a lottery to get in.

My buddy, Wade Repta, got into "'States" this year.  He asked me to be his pacer.  This is a great honor... and a heavy responsibility.

Snowshoe Adventure on Hollyburn Mountain

TV - Old one for videos
It's Sunday morning at 9:00.  I'm just coming off a cold.  Still feeling it, but it's shaping up to be a crisp, sunny day and I really want to get back on the running program.  My buddy Troy calls, "Want to go out for an hour on the snowshoes on Cypress?"  Humm.  That sounds not too aggressive and just about what the doctor ordered.
