Cycle to Walk

Through my work, where we provide non-profits and charities the capability of accepting and generating online donations, I have a great opportunity to connect with some extraordinary people. Some of these people are doing amazing endurance events and I find these stories motivational so I'd like to share some of events with you from time to time. Check out what Ramesh Ferris is doing at www.cycletowalk.com

Finally, I can cross something off my Resolution list!

Carlos did steal my thunder but yeah, I ran Diez Vista 50K on Saturday after a 3 year absence. The last time I ran this I made numerous mental mistakes and gutted out a 7:53 in 2005. This time I only made one mistake (new shoes) but I finished with a 6:36:12 (race results are up by the way), so a 77 minute PR!

Miwok 100k...Sold out!

Hard part is done, I got in to Miwok, now comes the fun part, training and running for a sub 14 hour finish.

Looking at some of the blogs, registration appeared to be closed by 8:30am.....it opens at 8am! I don't know if it was due to the West Coast Storm that's affecting NorCal or disgruntled WS 100 entrants who didn't get in for 2008. Hopefully there'll be some additional Canadian content.

2008 Point Series Standings

Congratulations to Desmond Mott, the winner of the 2008 Club Fat Ass Point Series.  He participated in 16 CFA events and collected trash during most of them, racking up 49 points. Des wins a certificate for a pair of running shoes from our business member, Kintec Footlabs. Second place was claimed by Bill.  Bill collected 38 points through a healthy mix of referrals, photos, crewing and trash collection.

CFA 2007 Points Series Almost A Wrap!

The 2007 Club Fat Ass Point Series is coming to an end. Although there are no more events before now and New Year, there are still 3 more days to collect points through referals (tell your friends to sign up and if they mention your name on the sign-up from you will get a referal point) to get closer to the gift certificate for a pair of shoes provided for the winner by Kintech Footlabs in North Vancouver.
