Carlos did steal my thunder but yeah, I ran Diez Vista 50K on Saturday after a 3 year absence. The last time I ran this I made numerous mental mistakes and gutted out a 7:53 in 2005. This time I only made one mistake (new shoes) but I finished with a 6:36:12 (race results are up by the way), so a 77 minute PR!
A more wordy race report is forthcoming.

Only two things left on the list....
Stormy 100 miler is in the books and while I don't have an official time, I did finish under the cutoff which means it's a personal best by default!
Next up is pb'ing a marathon, so many choices and try as I might this year's CFA shirt is really living up as advertised. I may have to send it to the Dept of RBO (Rank Body Odor) to get it really stinky.
Well it had to happen sooner or later...
I finally DNF'd a race and Miwok 100K of all races!
Fortunately for me, DNF stands for DID NOTHING FATAL.
But I came really close. I don't know what my exact time cause it was really really dark and I wasnt wearing a watch and I think I have PTSD from the bump on the head i took at mile 22.
But I finished. and my goal for the 100k was to complete one. not to PR.
It's the little victories that make life sweeter.
Congrats for finishing and
Sorry to hear
Make that one more thing to cross off...I PR'd a 50 mile race!
Just came back from Mt Si 50 mile in Snoqualamie, WA. My previous best 50 mile (80K) was Elk Beaver for 10:14.
Today I ran Mt Si in 8:39! There will of course be a report. But I need sleep first.
Holy smokes, what are you on?
Sorry man...
Yep, it's the hair cut and maybe
All the back to back trail and road runs every week.
