Ultra Based Adventure Thriller - From Ice to Ashes

This just crossed my desk and might entice some of you:

Who would expect an ultra race would be used to launch an attack against the United States? No one, until it happens, on the fictional trail of the Yukon Arctic Ultra.

Soliciting Input - Any interest in a Flash event in the Egmont area?

Since we are going to miss the Marathon Shuffle this weekend and Sunshing in September feels so far away, I am considering scheduling a Flash run on the Suncoaster Trail (Sunshine Coast) for early to mid summer. Although I am still trying to track down maps, I think we could manage a 15-25K out and back, predominantly on mountain bike trails, heading south from the Egmont area towards Pender Harbour and Garden Bay.

Here's where I need your help - if I plan this... will anyone come? Please add your comments!

XS-NRG screening Saturday 2 pm matinee, Marathon Shuffle Sunday

Please consider making time for a unique experience, a 2:00 pm matinee at the Patricia Theatre next Saturday, April 24 for the World Premiere of the extreme-adventure documentary XS-NRG (pronounce Excess Energy), starring remote sections of breathtaking Powell River backcountry via the Sunshine Coast Trail - as well as four lads from the lower mainland.

Double Chubb 50k with St. Louis Ultrarunner's Group - 4/17/10

The “Double Chubb” 50k is named as such because it’s a double out and back on an 8(ish)-mile long trail. On each end, there are some very big hills & a lot of technical terrain, particularly on the West Tyson County Park side of the course.

Buy a Classic Club Fat Ass Shirt and Get a Box of PowerBar Product

Every year at this time, we collect little chits of paper, dig out the calculator, the pencil and the eraser and complete our tax forms.  The math had better work.

Every once and a while the moon and stars align and Club Fat Ass gets the opportunity to share something special with members and friends.  The math does not have to work.

Here is an example:

Looking for running contacts in the Longview/Kelso area of Washington

Hello fellow trail runners!

I'm going on a business trip and will be in the Longview/Kelso area of Washington next weekend (April 17-18).  I'm looking to hook up with some trail runners to either do a training run with or get some beta on great places to explore.

Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated!

Cheers,

Mike
