Club Fat Ass is a grassroots sports club with a worldwide vision. Our members host trail running, triathlon, cycling and other "active lifestyle" events for fellow members. Club events are fun, physically challenging, environmentally friendly and emphasize camaraderie as much as competition. Each event is a reflection of the unique personality of the Event Host. All Club events are free to Club members. Membership is open to anyone who enjoys playing outdoors. Join us!
This is an archive of our old website. We're now on Facebook!
Registration for 2013 Club membership is open and I thought it might help some people to decide whether joining might be for them if I share some of my experiences after approximately one year of membership.
Up until a year ago I was checking out the website on and of for a little while and I was going through a bit of a funk in my running and exercising routine. In November I finally made the decision to join Club Fat Ass. I wasn't sure how it would go since I knew none of the members and I joined alone.
I enclose a zip file containing tracks of the routes that will enable the initiated to complete the Bagger Challenge in 14 day trips. These are the culmination of 2 years of bagging and represent combinations of peaks that can be completed as day trips. Where possible I prefer to do circuits and have organized many of the trips in that way. In some cases the approaches to the trails may be driveable closer than is indicated. The routes all start from a paved road or parking lot.
