Double Chubb 50k with St. Louis Ultrarunner's Group - 4/17/10

The “Double Chubb” 50k is named as such because it’s a double out and back on an 8(ish)-mile long trail. On each end, there are some very big hills & a lot of technical terrain, particularly on the West Tyson County Park side of the course.

Looking for running contacts in the Longview/Kelso area of Washington

Hello fellow trail runners!

I'm going on a business trip and will be in the Longview/Kelso area of Washington next weekend (April 17-18).  I'm looking to hook up with some trail runners to either do a training run with or get some beta on great places to explore.

Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated!

Cheers,

Mike

My "run" at 4000m: from Laguna Quilotoa to Chugchilán, Ecuadorian Andes in May 2009

[I've re-posted this so it shows up in my Blog on CFA - I didn't do that correctly the first time around, sorry!]

[thanks very much to Sybille for helping me figure out how to add pix!]

Running in East Sooke Park and Harvesting Spaghetti Trees

I packed my bags during Friday's howling windstorm and amidst stories of power outages, canceled ferries and closed roads.   While I was looking forward to the run, sailing to Vancouver Island through high waves was very low on the list of my favorite things to do...

Easter Sunday - Bowen Island

Hello Judge Crerar!

It's nice to be back at it!

Today Neil Ambrose, Wendy Montgomery and Carolyn King bagged Mount Gardner. We attempted to try the tresspassing route to go up Mt. Collins but were shunned into shame by a local who caught us! We will return to bag it another day using the recommended route.

We biked from the ocean so is it a Waterbagger?? (hope the judge is in good humour today).

Spectacular views of the snow capped mountains along the Howe Sound Crest Trail!

DV hook-up?

After yet another wonderful CFA event, I am still none the wiser about where exactly to look for a Spaghetti Tree!

I know where to see some of the most awesome coastal views in the World, I now know six or seven more wonderful fun running people, and I am eternally grateful to the weather Gods who let us have our fun in mild calm and mostly sunny conditions.

The only thing that is keeping ALL my ducks from being nicely lined up is next week-ends trip to the Mainland...

Jackson Claims First Baggage

OK, OK.  Hollyburn Peak may not be in the Challege and it may not be open season, but the 2010 Bagger Challenge is on and I bagged Hollyburn today, so bite me... I'm gonna claim first baggage of the season.

Yes, I am an April Fool.  The line in the snow is for you, Legg.

Bagging Mappers Need Only Apply

I'm looking for a few Baggers for a little experiment.

It's a simple experiment.  If successful, the outcome will be a better world for all Baggers, past and future.
