The KK training run tomorrow goes from Cleveland Dam to Cypress and back, but I'm looking for company/volunteers to continue up over Black and down to Nelson Canyon (KK start).
The BP up through cypress is snowy but not bad (Ran it Friday evening) with a variety of rotting snowbanks which promise assorted mayhem. Look forward to the creek crossings in the last 2km as the snow bridges have reached that magic point of hmmm .... I wonder if that'll hold. I can promise a good possibility of getting misplaced ... not lost which is different ... but misplaced and a ride back from where we finish to Cleveland Dam.
Anyway ... if anyone is interested, drop me a line here .... give me a call at 604.830.2415 or look for the hopeful fellow tomorrow morning .... Looks to be a beautiful day so whatever you're up to, enjoy it!

How did it go?
Kirsten and I were one of the few that dare make it all the way to Cypress on Sunday and it was actually not so bad. How's the section up Black? Is it hard to find the trail?
Its not as bad as I thought
Its not as bad as I thought it would be. Rather like last year's Kneeknacker in a lot of ways.
Less snow this year than last, but running a month earlier so it sort of evens out. There were a few iffy spots with route finding, but I think it'll be ok. Bluffs seem clear of snow, but didn't go down them so can't comment on that part.
I didn't think the part to Cypress was too bad, though I imagine what's left of the snow bridges will be long gone.
See you Saturday!
