Adidas Kanadia - anybody seen 'em in real life in a store in Vancouver?

Hello fat-asses,

I saw a picture of the Adidas Kanadia trail shoe somewhere (TrailRunner maybe? can't remember) and since then have been trying to find an actual pair somewhere to try on. Anyone seen them? I've tried all the usual suspects (NSA, Forerunners, RunningRm, Rackets&Runners, RightShoe), tried MEC & SportChek (SportChek has the men's but not the women's!!!!!!), even the Adidas store in Burnaby doesn't have 'em. Any suggestions for other places to call?? I'm racking my brain for other running stores.

Also, does anyone else find it funny that running stores in Canada aren't carrying a shoe called the "Kanadia"...?

Love to hear from you!! Wish I could do the Marathon Shuffle but I'm working - sounds SO great.

Happy trails,

teagirl

I posted this on Facebook and

I posted this on Facebook and our Vernon member, Lorie, reports that she owns a pair, but doesn't like them.  Here is what Lorie wrote: "I have a pair and ordered them on line. They can't be found in Canada. ps Don't like them too much. I have very narrow feet and they are to tight for me!!!"

The Footlocker.ca website

The Footlocker.ca website says they carry them at "select" stores. Try Robson St, Park Royal, or W4th Ave.

Further drive, call first: Runner's Den Port Moody, Fairhaven Runners WA

i forgot to mention them on my list...

I tried them first! No luck... I don't really need to change my shoes, just sort of wanted to see what they were like! Darn curiosity :)

 Hey all, Graham here from

Hey all, Graham here from Kintec.  I have done a bit of looking into the Kanadia and there is not much info on it.  In fact I could not even find it on the Adidas website.  My guess is that it is a special make up shoe for department and big box stores.  Judging by its price ($99.99) it is an entry level shoe and likely one that would not be carried by any specialty running stores.

Hi Graham. I noticed they

Hi Graham. I noticed they weren't on the Adidas site either.  A Google search came up with the Canadian Footlocker site: http://www.footlocker.ca/pdp.cfm?pNum=52-41668-7-02 so you are probably right about them being made for big box retailers only.

Odd... I found them on the Adidas site

I found them here: http://www.shopadidas.ca/catalogservlet?categoryId=2297089&productId=673609

I was reading someone's blog who compared them favourably to Mizuno Ascend which is what I wear now - but those are motion control and I actually need a neutral trail shoe. So I just wanted to try 'em out. I called multiple Footlockers & nobody has them. Oh well. I ordered a few different sizes on Shoes.com & I'm getting them shipped to my address in Point Roberts - free shipping, free returns, so I'll just try them on, keep the ones that fit (if any) and send the rest back! How crazy is that?! (I'm ordering a bunch of stuff for my bike so I have to go down there anyway!).

Thanks for the advice though!

(In any event, I'm pretty sure my speed is derived more from my dress than from my shoes...! hee hee hee)
