This is me, Ean Jackson.
As you can see, I'm running. I like to run (and bike, swim, downhill ski, snowboard, climb, hike, do triathlons, adventure races and other outdoor stuff.)
About this time last year, my buddy
Jon Husband, said I needed a blog. I figured the last thing I needed in the world was a blog. My rationale was that a blog takes a lot of time to maintain, and since I lead a full life, that meant I'd have less time to do the stuff I like with my free time... like running. I didn't want to hassle with choosing what blog software to use or learn how to use it. Most of the people I knew didn't have a clue as to what a blog was. I didn't want to have to think about what I'd blog about. I also figured nobody really cared about what I thought or what I might blog about.
So I didn't blog.
Not long ago, Club Fat Ass made a big website upgrade. That upgrade included the ability for its members to host a free blog. Blogging is now getting widespread coverage in the media. Some of my neighbors, it seems, now have a blog. I've run out of excuses to not blog! I still don't know what to blog about and I assume nobody cares, but regardless, I've made a commitment to record my thoughts as they relate to outdoor athletic activities in this blog at least a couple times a week until Christmas. I hope you find some value in what I contribute and I look forward to learning as much from everyone who reads this as they do from me.
