Quantcast

The V100 countdown is on.

Only days to go until the 4th running of the hardest 100km run anywhere. It's time for all the custom runners to sign up for any distance long and not so long.  I was on the trail last Sunday and took some pictures including this one:

I put up some new markers and wanted to make sure everyone could find the trail from the top of the Hollyburn cross-country ski runs into the trees heading toward Cypress Bowl.  You can see these double markers from the ski run.  From there, go at a 45 degree angle toward the gully and cross the bridge (if you can see it). In heavy snow years like this one (2008) you won't see the bridge and you can barely hear the creek trickling. Good luck everyone!

There's still a bit of snow on the runs as you can see ...

Once you cross the bridge you will see these markers ...

Here's what the Hollburn Chute looks like from about half way ...

Yikes, seeing the photos

Yikes, seeing the photos really brings it home how much snow there still is. Take care up there and have fun.
