How much adventure do you have in you?

This is a pre-boarding announcement for anyone interested in climbing on the Vancouver 100 train to pain in June. If you feel that you want to tackle the toughest annual Club Fat Ass event then I want to hear from you now. I want to know who you are and what you're made of. Do you like the currently scheduled date of the run or you would prefer it to be a week or two earlier or later? Would that make any difference to you? Either way it's still 100km with lots of ups and downs from Coast to Coast on the North Shore Mountains.

Check out the details at http://www.clubfatass.com/events/Vancouver100 and apply soon!

The Vancouver 100 ... the hardest 100km run anywhere!

Donuts

Karl and John would like some donuts at the start.

Projecting

I think you're projecting Gilles, but good idea!!

The date is good

But why so early. Can we have 6am start? We'll be up all night anyway.

6:00 am sounds beter than 4:30 am

I am with Gilles on this one.

Start time is good.

Some of us think we can be done before nightfall (or nearly). :-)

Date is just perfect

There are a few people planning to use the V100K as a training run for the Bighorn 100M (June 20) or the Western States 100M (June 28), so the date is just perfect for them. A week earlier would be OK, but, as Colin points out, the snow conditions could be a problem.

time and date

ok Karl ... what do you say about the time? I like the date as is based on the feedback and for a couple of other reasons mainly because it works well for me for the Knee Knacker training. But what about the time? I'm quite happy to go with the group on this one (no later than 0600h though). Just remember folks: the later you start the later you finish. And the course record is around 15 hours with the best of conditions. The good thing is that we don't have to decide about the time for a while.

0600H is More Civilized

I'm with Gilles and Colin. As for finishing later, we'll all just run faster.

Snow

I would hate to see it any earlier as there is always lots snow on Blackmountain in June.  If anything I would say a week or two latter.
