At the 4th annual event we were greeted with fantastic weather, a great participant turnout, and an excellent aid station run by the one and only Mick McGuire.
Congratulations to Gary, Ted, and Patricia for their recording breaking 20km run times.
One bonus point went to Berglind for volunteering, without delay, for future CFA duties and one to Desmond for picking up garbage albeit it was a doggie poop bag. Eventhough, he did insist it was empty, we can never be certain. Mike Wakefield received two bonus points, one for picking up garbage and the other for presenting me, the Event Host, with a bouquet of maple leaves. Yes, this EH can be bought.
There was a great turnout at the Raven for our post race party. Amongst the draw prizes were two Trail Runner Magazine subscriptions, a variety of Kinesys products, great swag from North Shore Athletics, and three passes to Body World 3 – The Anatomical Exhibition of Real Human Bodies.
This is my last year as the host of this event and I am very pleased to introduce Ann Taylor who will take over for next year. Currently, I am working on my next CFA project which will be an epic adventure in Squamish. For those of you who know me well there will be no technical trails, no hiding in bushes and lots of uphill running.
Thanks to all who participated and, of course, to our sponsors. See you all again next year!

Thanks Wendy!
Great course. I had the pleasure of running with Rob, Baldwin, and Melissa. Melissa and I yapped all the way along, so I'm sure that made it torturous for Baldwin and Rob but they stayed with us so they either didn't have maps, they couldn't get far enough ahead, or they just couldn't get enough of our wise words.
Gary, love your new dog Roxy (?) . But you might want to make that shirt a half-shirt so she doesn't keep peeing on it. Roxy: "Woof, woof, oowwwrrrrrrr, wooff, grrrr. Don't tell Gary what I told you though."
Thanks for the fun day everybody. Sorry I missed the party afterwards.

Anyway, I did have a chance to browse at some of today's photos while sitting at my computer tonight. I was especially fond of the one of myself and Berglind (and others) crossing Twin Bridges - that is until I clicked to view the enlarged version of the photo. Needless to say, I was quite surprised to see the "full moon" out at that time of day! Anyone care to claim responsibility.... or maybe it's best left as a mystery.
Amy
Maybe you can edit that out using Photoshop.....
Okay, Amy. I won't hold it against you, means more kinesys schwag for the rest of us diehards.
Yeah, it's a mystery, wrapped in an enigma, shrouded in suspense, hidden in plain sight.
But if you scrolled forward the pics a bit, you'd see the proud owner of those cheeks.
Man, that was 9.6 of the toughest Km I've run in a month. Apparently and judging by those really unflattering pictures, I finally do have a fat ass and other body parts after sitting around for a month not running, just rehabbing my knee, by consuming mass quantities of pastries and various deep fried animal products.
So from now on, it's gonna be clean living, eat healthy, plenty of exercise and all that good stuff, with plenty of ibuprofen to wash it all down.
Seriously.
