Howe Sound Crest -- Thoughts?

I was just thinking about the scheduled run last year. Was looking forward to it as I've never done the trail myself and was disappointed when Indian Summer broke and our monsoons started early. Is there any interest in doing this run this year prior to fall rains making the trail impassable? Thoughts? .... Anyone ..... Beuller ?

Especially if the weather and my calf tear holds.  I've done it before.  Best to have cars at Cypress and Porteau Cove, plenty of water and a camera.  I think it took us a fairly leisurely 7 hours.

You realize we're looking to you as the responsible one then (chuckle). No seriously, glad you've done it before as that would be a concern of mine otherwise. How does a 7am start on the 28th sound (Start at Cypress parking lot?) if the weather holds up. I was looking at the skies this past Sunday thinking about it.

Dave,

Best to post this as a flash Event if the thought process has evolved to definite plans and a date/time.  Just go to "create content" in the left nav bar under your user name and select event.  Follow the prompts there.  The event will appear under upcoming events and in the calendar and when we are approaching the date I will also post it to the front page, so does it does not get pushed down (as this post does).

Never done it myself but always wanted to. Usually Sundays are good for me but not the next 2. How's September 28th for you?

28th is good for me. We'll have to see if we can bag someone with knowledge of the route or the two of us might spend a little longer out there than intended.
