Looking for at least 1 other person to complete the 28 mile Loowit Trail that runs around the summit of Mount St. Helens. According to Google Maps, the drive is about 6 hours plus border traffic to get from Vancouver to the June Lake trailhead or from the climbing bivouac trailhead located on the south side of the mountain. For more information about the trail, check out the links below.
I am pretty flexible on any detail of the trip, but I propose we leave after work on Friday, get as far as we can Friday night, camp or grab a hotel for a few hours sleep, get up early and drive to the trailhead, run 28 miles, drive home. Depending how long the run takes, we might have to grab a hotel on the Saturday night as well.
I realize this is a little last minute, but I finally have a full weekend off and I want to make the most of it. This is a trail I have been wanting to do for some time now. If you are interested in the run, reply to this post and we will be in touch.
