Wish I was there!
I had the best intentions of coming rain or shine. Wow it's now beautiful sunshine out! But after my hike in the rain yesterday my lingering cold took hold last night coupled with my very sore achilles I decided last night not to attend.
I miss you guys! Hope you had fun!!
Cheers,
Mike
Not attending
Hi
just to confirm I'm not able to attend tomorrow...
thanks
Hi Suzanne, I'll take you off
Hi Suzanne, I'll take you off the list. Hope to see you at the next event.
Ride from Vancouver?
Anyone passing by Cambie and 12th on the way there? I can get myself home, but the bus ride in the morning looks like a long one.
Cheers, Doris
Ride
Hi Doris, I could give you a ride. I live in kits. If anyone else needs a ride, let me know.

Thanks, no need anymore!
Hi Paul, thanks for the offer. I opted for a Saturday run today instead, so I won't be doing the Highway Madness after all!
Conditions
Sorry I didn't post this here earlier when I did to Facebook.
For those interested in knowing snow conditions, I ran the course last Saturday and it was completely bare from the start to 2.5km, patches to 3.5km, steady snow after that to the quarry which is around 7.5km from the start. But while you'll slow to something less than a run at times and parts will be a bit of slog, I believe the entire course is doable in trail shoes. I put snowshoes on for fun at the 5.5km mark and might bring them tomorrow, but there were plenty of footprints and other tracks to follow.
Look forward to seeing you all in the morning.
