Flash - Mt Kenya Summit Circuit

Shiptons Camp - 4250 m , NW side of Mt Kenya, Africa

Join Des and Chris for the inaugural Flash event for a full circuit of the summit path around the peaks of Mt Kenya.  Medication for altitude sickness recommended unless acclimitised.  Meet at the green tent at Shiptons campsite. 

Entry: There is no fee and you don't need to be a member of Club Fat Ass to participate in a Flash event, however whining is not allowed. No registration is required but please indicate your participation via the comment form below. You are responsible for your own well being and safety and should be self sufficient.

Please read the Release of All Claims. By participating in this event you agree to the terms of the Release of All Claims.

....& will there be cold beer at the finish? 'Cause that will definitely influence my decision.

I also attended William's slide show the other day.  The photos got me very jazzed about your flash event.  I just checked with the airlines and, if I left in 15 minutes, I'd still not make the start.  Guess I'll have to do with a snowshoe run tonight.

Be sure to take lots of photos.  I think I've volunteered to stickhandle the organization of the Club adventure night slide show in November, so guess who I will "volunteer"? 

Am back to running an hour or so, so hope to get out with you more often when you're back.

Hi guys,

I am sorry, but I won't make it.  Can't wait to hear your stories and see photos, though. 

We just attended the premiere of William Jans slideshow presentation "Tales of Tanzania"  (highly recommended, there is another presentation in early February, for anyone not making the Mt Kenya Summit Circuit).  William climbed Mt. Meru in Tanzania.  For now that's as close as I will get ...
