I'm new to the club so this is my first flash event.
Plan is to leave Vancouver around 6am. We can drive to the trailhead, or if people feel ambitious we can bike there and lock our bikes up in the forest. Use the new trail up to Deeks lakes, bag a peak or two, run into snow, get lost, get found, finish at Cypress, retrieve bikes (if applicable), carbo-hyrate with chilled frothy beverages at a pub.
Come prepared for snow (atleast mentally).
I expect we'll be in the 8-12 hour range.
37km
~2500m vertical
I've arranged for a friend to pick us up at Cypress at the end, so we don't need to drop a car.
Entry: There is no fee and you don't need to be a member of Club Fat Ass to participate in a Flash event, however whining is not allowed. No registration is required but please indicate your participation via the comment form below. You are responsible for your own well being and safety and should be self sufficient.

a little slow
Haha. Ya. Sorry about being a little slow with a TR / photos.
I'll try to put those up today... but it may not work since I'm going to do some skiing this weekend and obviously haven't gotten food / packed or anything.
Long Weekend?
Did you do it? I might be game for part of it with you this Saturday.
Did it. Loved it! Had to
Did it. Loved it! Had to traverse numerous, somewhat sketchy snowfields but that prob won't be an issue with all the new snowmelt...much more difficult going this direction rather than starting at Cypress (a TON of climbing), but I'll let Alex give the full report since it was his trip!
HSCT Run
I'm totally interested but would need a ride from 14th & Lonsdale (or thereabouts--I could certainly meet a car somewhere more convenient)...I did this run last year and LOVED it!!!
