Deep Cove, North Vancouver, BC
What: A 75K run on the Baden Powell Trail between Deep Cove and Lynn Canyon. Since this is a Fat Ass event you may, of course, do whatever you distance like.
Why: A few Fools in the club have signed up for the Coyote Two Moon 100 Mile race in March that has 28,000 feet of uphill and they really, really need to get in some distance and hill work.
Who: The Fools and anyone who wants to join in the fun.

Route: The Pure Foolishness 75K will consist of three loops on the Pure Satisfaction Course. You can read the foolproof directions at:

Aid: Be prepared to be self-sufficient. There should be water at Deep Cove and at the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge washrooms. Of course we will also have access to our vehicles when we return to Deep Cove at the end of each loop.
Results: Fill in the results sheet on the windshield of Karl's light green Dodge Caravan, ANF 954, which will be parked in or near Panorama Park, or email your distance and time to Karl through the email link at the bottom of this event site.

Entry: There is no fee and you don't need to be a member of Club Fat Ass to participate in a Flash event, however whining is not allowed. No registration is required but please indicate your participation via the comment form below. You are responsible for your own well being and safety and should be self sufficient. Pure Foolishness 75K - CANCELLED
The poor trail conditions that forced the cancellation of the Pure Foolishness 50K are unlikely to improve before next Saturday, especially given that more snow is in the forecast.
Unless there is a significant rise in temperature it is likely that the Pure Foolishness 100K will be cancelled also. That decision will be made no later than Wednesday, February 11 and posted on the event site.
A replacement event for the Pure Foolishness 75K, the "Flash - Foolishly Yours Roll-Your-Own Run", will be held at Malcolm Knapp Research Forest in Maple Ridge on Saturday, January 31, 2009. Please refer to the CFA website for more information.
