Location:
Crimson Lake Provincial Park - Rocky Mountain House - AB Canada
Come on out for a late season run on the beautiful trail system around Crimson Lake. The amerada trail makes a 10km loop around the lake. This trail is by no means challenging or technical, just a lovely loop around the lake. There is virtually no elevation gain, just some small hills on groomed trails. Come prepared to run bare trails or in two feet of snow.
Arrive in the day use parking lot at 0945, introductions, group photo op, and then we are off and running at 10am. Leave 100m northwest out of the parking lot and hop onto the trail. Choose any distance you like, 10km, 20 km, 30km, 40 km....just RSVP with your custom distance. To get to the lake, head approx 10 min west out of Rocky Mountain House on Highway 11, turn right on 756/Highway 11a, following the signs to Crimson Lake. The parking lot is just past the entrance to the campground.
Message me for car pooling options.
