Mile

8:30ish Meet at the North Chuckanut Trailhead off of Chuckanut Dr (Hwy 11) in south Bellingham.

 

9:00 AM

This year's course will feature the new Raptor Ridge Connector Trail!

total:

  From the parking lot, run up the trail 0.2 mile to Junction #1 (J1). Turn LEFT

  In 0.3 mile, turn RIGHT at J2 up the Hemlock Trail. 0.5
  After 0.7 mile, continue LEFT on the Hemlock Trail. 1.2
  Follow the Hemlock trail another 2.1 miles to J4, turn RIGHT 3.3
  In another 0.3 mile, you will be at the Raptor Ridge lookout 3.6
  Stop here for a while to enjoy the view!  
  Retrace your steps to J4 - 0.3 mile. 3.9
  Take the NEW Raptor Ridge connector trail down to the North Lost Lake Trail (1.1 miles) J5 5.0
  Turn RIGHT on NLL Trail, follow for about 2 miles back to J3 7.0
  Retrace your steps to the parking lot - LEFT at J3, LEFT at J2, RIGHT at J1 (1.2 miles) 8.2
  Have a cold beer, you earned it!  
     
  Please note: MAPS WILL BE PROVIDED. Don't worry if you can't find the new Raptor Ridge connector trail on a map, it really is new as of 2011!
