Many thanks for going to the trouble to organize, Des. Must have felt like hearding cats!
I was out for 8:15. That included pauses to pick blueberries, feed chipmunks, assist the weak and the wounded, pick up trash and explore old cabins.
Had a blast with new folks as I made my way up to the Hanes saddle. Heard about "all of those runners" from people I spoke to on the trails and at peaks all day. Here are some observations and photos from the peak-bagging perspective.
Sure was a wonderful day to be outside. Thx for the kick in the pants and the ride to the start!

Thanks for the run on a great day Des. Please put me down for the 30km route at 9:45 plus garbage. I came down Olde Grouse Mtn Hwy and took Per Gynt, another straight short trail, and finally the amazingly flowing and new Bobsled trail that gets you out at the very bottom of the gravel road.
Thanks to Liza and Heather for getting me to the top of Crown and also to Jackson for directions to West Crown.

Just pulled the plug on a family camping trip. Figure I'll play before I work this weekend.
Saturday is supposed to be nice weather. Would like to do a Grouse Sweep via the back door, so signed up for a custom "Go Home via Hanes". Maybe you'd like to join me?
Proposed Itinerary
- run with group to top of Hanes
- bag Crown, Little Crown/Sleeping Beauty, Goat, Little Goat, Dam and Grouse.
This may take a while. (12 hours?) It would likely mean missing the post-run get-together. Good news is that I just bottled 50-liters of yummy IPA and some will be on ice should we survive.

Liza and Heather in
Liza and Heather ended up with a custom, detouring up and down Crown before stopping at Grouse, in about 6:50.
ETA: Craig added in West Crown and at last word was at the Chalet before running back down Mtn Hwy to the car.
