I know the Bagger Challenge is exclusively a Vancouver exploit and I know that I would never be one to win the Bagger Challenge, but who is to say I can't bag my own peak.
On Sunday, I decided to hike Mt.Sutton on the Parc d'environnement naturel de Sutton. My friend Maureen was visiting from New York. A hike turned out to be an excellent way to get a good lay of the land. A glorious day ended with a tour of the cider houses.
We did not have a predetermined plan, just some water to get us through the hike. We decided on heading up to Round Top.
Total elevation Gain = 448 m
Total Distance = 4.5 km
When we were near the top, we took a short pause at the Belvedere and the top of Mt.Sutton. The hike up was a mix of rocky terrain and smooth ground. In a few sections, we even had to use a rope to help us up. The forest was lush and cool and the air was fresh. The scenery was absolutely beautiful. The valley below was green and lush. We had excellent views of Jay Peak and several other mountains that I have not learned their names. On the way down, we had a great view of the village of Sutton down below.
Can't wait to bag more Sutton peaks !!
