Goals for 2012 Running/Bagging Events:
* Finish in Top 3 in club point series, participating in at least 16 club events
* Finish in Top 10 in bagger challenge point standings, bag at least 12 peaks
* Build on 2011's 1st three ultras and run 4 ultras in 2012
Apart from the running/hiking, I aim to:
* serve another term on the steering committee, but do some heavy lifting this time around
* update the ActivePorker iPhone app for 2012, include a showcase for the Bagger Challenge
* volunteer at an aid station for at least one race
* volunteer to work on/build at least one trail
* bike commute daily for full year (building on daily bike commute habit formed 2010)

how'd i do? I'll say 40%
The goals were a decent motivator this year. So how'd I do? Overall 12/30 = 40% attained! Woot!
* Finish in Top 3 in club point series, participating in at least 16 club events
Result: 1/5 Goal - missed this goal badly, was just too busy or sick to join many events.
* Finish in Top 10 in bagger challenge point standings, bag at least 12 peaks
Result: 2/3 Goal missed, finished in Top 20 by bagging 9 peaks. Created many lasting memories by bagging with Eric Rannaud and Isaac White.
* Build on 2011's 1st three ultras and run 4 ultras in 2012
Result: 2/4 Goal missed + Completed March 17th Chuckanut 50k after a tough build-up health-wise that severely limited my training + Started the June 30th Tenderfoot Boogie 50k but dropped at 40k mark due to hypothermia-like symptoms + Ran Sept 15th Frosty Mt. 27k (scaled back from 50k due to poor training in lead-up!
Apart from the running events, I aimed to:

Result: 1/5 Goal missed, though verified compatibility of ActivePorker with every new iOS release - it still works! Will provide source code to a parter for updating in 2013 (hopefully)...

Result: 0/3 Goal missed. Maybe next year.
* volunteer to work on/build at least one trail
Result: 0/3 Goal missed. Maybe next year.
* bike commute daily for full year (building on daily bike commute habit formed 2010)
Result: 5/5 Goal attained! Biked to work 95+% of the time.
