Cinny Bun Run Recap

.......A beach, some fast, rolling trails, and the best cinny buns around....

That was the basic idea for the 1st Cinny Bun Run, but I'll remember much more than that, including

1)  the stunning early morning blue-gray portrait of the north shore mountains framed by a glass-like Burrard Inlet

2)  Ruby in her Santa outfit

3)  The abundance of happy runners in Pacific Spirit Park, like this one character with flamboyant orange gloves

4)  Rain and snow, or lack thereof - what happend in the forecast, stayed in the forecast

5)  Reflection and laughter at the coffee shop, with a brief foray into what the club is all about and why we do what we do, in a cool, reflective non-buzz-kill sort of way for the benefit of newcomer Paul, who, with Vicky, and dog Bodhi in supporting roles, chose to make the Cinny Bun Run his first (and hopefully not last) sugar and-cinnamon-laced quaf from the mystical chalice of clubfatassness.

Happy holidays to all, and may visions of cinny buns dance in your heads!

Mike and I were lost at half

Mike and I were lost at half way back to the parking lot. We probably cut short by 2k. Anyways, I enjoyed the morning run. Thanks Reagan for organizing this fun event!

A Blast - Thank You!

What I figured to be a relaxing jog turned out to be a full-on duel when Cressman showed up... somebody tell that guy it's not supposed to be a race! Amazing how many people we saw out on the trails with smiles on their faces this morning. Wader, where's the love? To Mark, Eric, Mike and Dave: No, I was not smoking crack... there *was* a tree that had grown up through an old wheel and it *was* right there next to the trail. It would be sad to learn that the tree blew down. I will bring my camera on New Years Day and try to find it. Thank you for sharing your secret source of cinnamon buns, Reagan, and for organizing a wonderful run. Merry Christmas!
