Funny, I was speaking to Paul Cubbon today and he mentioned he did more or less the same route yesterday. Lots of snow still, eh? Did you get a soaker going across Lynn River, too?

Since we were taking our time, in a most untrailrunnerlike manner, we decided to barefoot it across the water. The water wasn't too cold and was freshing for the legs. Decided I didn't want to run another 3 hours in waterlogged shoes. The snow wasn't too bad but I'm happy the 3 others ahead of of us (Tom Skinner and Nicola Gildersleeve from North Shore Athletics and Kevin Holland) made a path for us to follow.
