The Canadian Death Race

##$&^#&*^$*@&#$  it's hard!!!! but it opened up the possibilities of what I'm capable of, and I certainly surprised myself.

I finished, but I found the cut-offs quite harsh and put alot of pressure on me, which I didn't find very enjoyable. And you might wonder if that distance it is ever enjoyable, but yes, I do find it fun when I can take my time, enjoy the views, take pictures, eat properly, not feel sick for hours on end, etc etc    :)

However, it's a beautiful course, awesome volunteers, and a really fun road trip.

Thanks to my friend Krys, and her friends (our crew), who are amazing. Krys has done it before and stuck with me the whole way. Sadly, she's moved to Vernon now  :(

Cheers,

Jess

Can't wait to hear your story.  Maybe see you and Bill at the STORMY finish?

Goog job Jessica,

I can relate to the chasing the cut off business. It does take away from the fun of it a bit but that's how it is.

yes

it has made me rethink things. There are races I will probably never beable to do! I think I'll stick with the Vancouver 100..can take as long as I want   :)

Don't limit yourself!

Jess,

Once you put your mind to something, I am sure you would be able to do it. I have seen Gilles accomplish so many amazing things even when the prospects looked bleak. Set your sights high and you will be surprised what you can do.

congratulations

way to go Jess! Congratulations to both you and Krys. I see a lot of people weren't able to complete the event and that says a lot on its own about your performance. Looking forward to hearing more about it from you.
