Jason's 24-hour Run to support Girls on the Run in St. Louis...

Jason Eads is running for 24 consecutive hours to support Girls on the Run!

The St. Louis, MO Girls on the Run Mission:

To positively impact girls across the St. Louis community through our unique program that combines health and wellness education with a goal-oriented running program.  Our goal is to prepare and educate girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living during their critical years of development (i.e. ages 8-14).  The program is designed to empower young girls to believe in themselves and embrace their full potential as they become young adults.  We are a non-profit organization supported by the St. Louis community that is financially responsible to ensure long term growth and sustainability.

Jason’s Mission:

Use his goal of completing a 24-hour run to create an opportunity for people to support Girls on the Run in St. Louis. Jason will be running in the Howard L. Aslinger 24-hour race in Cape Girardeau, MO on March 20th, 2010! Jason volunteers his time as a Girls On The Run St. Louis race committe member.
How YOU can help:
Support Girls on the Run St. Louis through Jason’s 24-hour effort by making a donation through the Girls on the Run® SoleMates program. There are some creative ways to donate:
1)       Go online and donate a predetermined amount that works for your budget
2)       Commit a donation in an amount per mile that Jason is able to complete in the 24-hour period, then donate the calculated amount after Jason’s attempt at the 24hr run (Call Jason or email him at jsneads@sbcglobal.net if you’d like to choose this option)

For questions about donating, the 24-hour event, or anything else please contact Jason at: jsneads@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for your consideration!

Sincerely,

Jason Eads

24h run...you need to talk to

24h run...you need to talk to Glenn.  He runs solo in the 24h relay to race funds for the Easter Seal Camps.

Good for you.  I hope the donations keep coming!!!

I got a good laugh out of this one...

Thanks for your comment, Sibylle.

I laughed when I read your subject line: "24h run...you need to talk to".

The reason I laughed is because I thought you were going to say "a psychiatrist", not "Glenn"! Ha ha ha!

Anyhow, you're right, I should reach out to Glenn to see if he wouldn't mind sharing some nuggets of wisdom.

Best-Jason

;-)  I should see Glenn later today and mention what you have planned!

Any word from Glenn?

Did he say - DON'T DO IT, HE'S MAD, or WHAT A NUT! ?  ;)

all of the above ;-)

Just kidding.  I should see him tonight and point him to your post...

But he would be right...
