7 out of 7 accomplished by the french Canadian FatAss

Well, at 4:44 moutain time, Gilles finished the 7th race of the season with 16 minutes to spare. Woohoo! In chronological order of accomplishment: McNaughton - Illinois Big Horn - Wyoming Tahoe Rim - Nevada Stormy - BC Cascade Crest - Washington Grand Tetons - Wyoming Wasatch - Utah After hearing all season, "they are not done yet". I can state that I never doubted his tenacity, determination and ability to do it. I am incredibly proud and happy that he was able to accomplish what he set out to do. Later, I will ask Gilles to help me withthe times. For now he is busy scrubbing the dirt and mud off of him. Let's just say, the massage is booked for tomorrow am! Thanks to everyone who supported him and kept checking on his progress!!! Lucinda

Holy smokes...I was

Holy smokes...I was following on-line (actually Manon was & she would text me periodically)...you sure know how to add some drama to an event! Awesome job, Gilles & Lucinda. Amazing! Let's get some perspective on this one race...In the time it took Gilles to run that race, I had: - gone about my usual Saturday affairs -went to bed -woke up on Sunday -caught a plane to LA -connected to OC -checked into my hotel -caught a cab -went to Huntington Beach -bought some surf shorts -I was sitting at Fred's Mexican Cafe with a second cold brew in my hand & had polished off the better part of a stewed pork enchilada when he finished. -the plane covers 100 miles in less than 12 minutes. Cheers Gilles & Lucinda!

What's Next?

Hey Gilles,
Four 100-milers in 4 weeks. Not bad! If you're not sure what you'll run next weekend, some of us are going to give the Stein Valley a go. Congrats on an *awesome* achievement and an incredible year. You inspire us all!

Who doubted Gilles?

Anybody who has seen Gilles happily arriving at an aidstation or finish line, twinkle in eye, would never have doubted that he'll get all 7 under his belt!  Way to go, Gilles and Lucinder (you gotta get some of the credit!)

Forget about the Grand Slam...

Gilles just ran the Super 7!

Hey, Gilles, someone's looking for advice at Angeles Crest 100 (Ali Conroy), why don't you make it 8 for 8 and do that one too!
