Top 5 best duffy slalom bagger descents

Nothing more glorious than returning from a triumphant bagging adventure down a steep slope that is a bit technical, but not too technical, on a surface that consists primarily not of rocks and roots, but of wonderful duffy decayed cedar.  Gravity and duff combine to emulate a slalom descent.

  1. South Needle: down to Hydraulic Creek connector trail, and thence to LSCR
  2. Fromme: down north face to Old Mountain Highway
  3. Paton: approach from COL and thence down to LSCR
  4. Dickens: back down to Fannin Lake
  5. Deeks: down to Deeks Lake

Dam Mountain - Secret Trail

Am I allowed to say this?  There is a way down from Dam Mountain via the Forbidden Forest that is also very soft with large, widely-spaced trees and a fine run-out.  Beware of wolves!
