Easter W/E, and I'm still kind of injured! The Diez Vistas 50K is three weeks away and I am sticking to my ten hours a week training. Hoping for an improvement in the wet weather, and feeling more willing to do doubles, will make those ten less painful to get! I need new trail shoes... Almost eight hours on the clock so far, with 90 minutes on Tuesday 90 minutes on Thursday, 195 yesterday,60 with Graeme and 24 with Ms. J today... Tomorrow will be an easy 90 giving me about ten hours. Roll on the good weather and some quality doubles.

Knee Problems
Sorry to hear your knees are giving you grief. Mine derailed me for almost a year. The good news is that they can get better again.
Here's some research I did a while back when mine were pooched:

Gulp!
DV conditions
Hey, Jackal!
Did the whole DV course today. It took 10.5 hours for a cfa-like event (little external aid stations, a few misdirections) I'd work on strengthing your ankles cause the top of the ridge on the DV trail is completely exposed and eroded from all the snow. Very rooty and rocky, some snow/icy patches, quite a bit of blowdown on the top. Buntzen trails on west side of lake has had some cosmetic work done: Some of the trails have been smoothed out with gravel and sand. Today was a good day, not too cool, not too warm, no rain which would've made for an interesting time on the ridge. Hopefully the course will be finalized in the next 2 weeks.
Hope this helps and see you there!
