The adventures of baggin baby and momma the mule

Been a while since I have blogged! Since, we did south Lynn. We had a look at the trail to the south needle and decided it was an all day kind of adventure. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I can't run with the baby backpack so it's a clippy walk for me at best. I didn't find this hike anything to really write home about (it was overcast so no views anywho)... But a good punch on my mornings long run and a reminder to weight Ama - she is getting heavy! We also hiked garibaldi for some extra curricular hiking. That makes for a nice easy trip. And it's beautiful. Noticing some comments I missed - oops! I guess I have to follow my own blog! Ama turns seven months in two days... I am thinking about a celebratory bag - just not sure which one next!

Half Day

The South Needle is conservatively about a 5-8 hour loop.  I have done it faster but you take a real beating.  It is not fast running even if you run and some places you fully expect to slip and hurt yourself at any speed.  I would recommend either using bikes and parking at Hydraulic Creek, then going up/down on that trail, or walk up to Hydraulic Creek and after return via Lynn Peak trail.  Give me a call and we can discuss it, maybe if we could do a Monday we could do it together.
