Course Change for Run to the Clouds

Dear Fellow Club Fat Ass runners !

First, many thanks for your interest in our upcoming "Run to the Clouds" event. Although we still will be doing some good climbing (for the runners doing the full 25 km) we may not have to be running into the clouds as tomorrow's weather is calling for sunny with cloudy periods. No rain on us hopefully... As it is supposed to be back to rain by Sunday, lets sneak in a good run tomorrow OK.

JDFT take two.(solo?)

Short notice I know but one of my buddies is planning to do "IT" (Juan De Fuca Marine Trail) again this Saturday.  He has a plan but we are all tied up with the DV this W/E.

If anyone wants to go this Saturday, this is Randy Duncan's original link. http://pih.bc.ca/chat/ReadMessage.php?nMessageID=117656

Great Shirt Feedback

The shirt feedback has been great. Glad you like them.

Photo left: A little Ontario FA testing his dads new CFA shirt.

Vanessa Fors has invested a lot of time and love to source the fabric, an innovative material called Chitosante. She also designed the shirts and oversaw the production from beginning to end, answering a lot of anxious questions form your Chief Executive Fat Ass, measuring (thanks to our models Ean and John) and recalculating shrinkage during the screening process. I was amazed how Vanessa, noticing the large chest of one of our members, went back to the drawing table to make sure XL would be wide enough in the chest. Thanks, Vanessa! These shirts are a labour of love. Credits also go to Jess Marshall, who designed the labels and provided the screening artwork and to Michele Sherstan, who spent an evening with me packaging shirts and addressing envelopes.

Congratulations to Kneeknacker Lottery Winners

Congratulations to all of you whose names were drawn in the Knee Knacker lottery last night.... and condolonces to those who didn't make it (quite a few).

If you are curious, here is a link to the 2008 Entrants and here to the ones that missed out.

Shirt Packing Party

Your Club Shirts Are In!

The 2008 shirts are ready.  Yippeh!  Michele and I will have a packing party tomorrow night (white wine is chilling already) to get them ready for mailing.  I will send out an email once the shirts are on their way.

Those of you who opted for pick-up will receive an email from me in the next couple of days with pick-up information.

Stormy Training Runs hosted by Club Fat Ass

Club Fat Ass and Stormy are pleased to announce that training runs for Stormy will be hosted by Club Fat Ass.

Squamish Scrambler Notes

Hey all, two things I wanted to quickly mention, well outside of the fact that there is a ton of snow up there right now and it could be an incredible day for snowshoeing this weekend!

-The cutoff for snowshoe rental requests is tomorrow, Thurs the 7th at 6pm. I have to pass along our final numbers to The Yeti at that point in time.

Active Life Physio

Active Life Physiothereapy is a valued sponsor of Club Fat Ass.  The physiotherapists at Active Life Physio will be at various CFA events in 2008, and are planning a Performance Evaluation workshop for CFA members in the spring… stay tuned!
