As the year is winding down, I would like to thank all of you for keeping Club Fat Ass alive. Our club wouldn't be what it is without all your support, ideas and help.
A special thanks to our 2008 Events Hosts: Gary Robbins, Andy Nichol, Ean Jackson, Tara Jackson, Katheryne Gardiner, James Sinclair, Alli Conroy, Des Mott, Cheryl Johnson, Craig Moore, Mike Wardas, Daniel Probst, Wendy Montgomery, Geoff Palmer, Berglind Haffsteinsdottir, Ann Taylor, Pete Stace-Smith, Chris Mager, Carlos Castillo, Keith Thompson and Bill Dagg. Be nice to our event hosts - without them, there wouldn't be a club. Thanks also to the numerous members who have hosted Flash Events over the past 12 months.
Thanks also to the members who volunteered their time on the Steering Committee: Ryan Conroy (Marketing) with Jess Stewart helping with all design issues and Ken and Amy helping with online calendars, Berglind Hafsteinsdottir (Event Host), Lara Taylor (technology) with Jeff Summers, Ean Jackson (Finances and Special Projects), Patrick Hinds (Finances) and Michele Sherstan (Membership). Lara and Michele retire from the board for 2008, but will still be involved in helping the committee. In late fall Ran Katzmann took over the Technology Committee from Lara. Ran has help from Sal Bugliarisi and both are keeping me on my toes.
2008 Steering Committee: We were proactive this year and have a great team in place for 2008. We are still looking for a new Membership Chair to replace Michele. The membership chair is in charge of member satisfaction and membership development. Please let me know if this is something that interests you.
