Vancouver 100 - Update

An update follows on our current list of Vancouver 100 participants. By the way, I have a lost fuel belt from one of the events of 2006 in my possession.  Is it yours?  And please notice that we have our first female contender!!!

Regarding the course, I am 99% sure it will be identical to 2006.  There are plans for a new section of BP trail in the Cypress Bowl area but this has not happened yet.  So we're going to stick with coming down the ski runs like last year to get to the parking area.

Things to remember:

a)  If you want to run with us, even a partial distance, you need to sign up as a member of Club Fat Ass or pay for a "single day" membership. This can be done on the website here:  http://www.clubfatass.com/join.

b)  Registration for the Vancouver 100 is done through an application form at http://www.clubfatass.com/events/Vancouver100/registration. The race director has the final say about who is qualified to run.

c)  Unless you are running a custom distance, you must have a dedicated crew for the entire run. If you're running 25km or more I will ask you to have a crew as well.

d)  No wimps, no whiners, no hassles.

e)  Everyone is welcome to participate in some way for this unique event, especially if you're a member of Club Fat Ass. Friends and family can join us for food and fun at the 3/4 mark at Cleveland Dam on Saturday afternoon (June 2). This will be the best place to see the runners come through for the last 25 km stretch to Deep Cov

f)  The post event party will be at 5:00 pm on the Sunday June 3.  We'll do it somewhere in North Vancouver depending on how many people are planning to show up.
