Are you
tired of putting in the training hours but not really improving? Do you like
the idea of taking the guesswork out of your training? Have you ever
wondered what exactly to do with your heart rate monitor? This session is
designed to answer all of your questions about using training zones to make
your training more effective. The seminar will explain the physiology
that heart rate training zones are based on, how to get your individual
training zones measured and discuss how to determine which of your thresholds
is limiting your improvement. By focusing your training on your limiting thresholds, you eliminate the junk miles and focus your
training hours so they lead directly to performance improvements at your
particular sport and race distance. Topics discussed will include blood
lactate, lactic acid, muscle fibre types, aerobic threshold, lactate threshold,
VO2 max, heart rate training zones and most importantly, how to use the
information in your training.
We
will be offering a 20% discount on our assessment and training services during
the session.
