Backgrounder: The Volcano Wilderness Runs (5, 10, 26.2) have been run for 25 years and were cancelled this year out of respect for the Kapuna who felt is was disrespectful to Madam Pele.  We all decided to keep our plans to travel to the Big Island anyway and do our own run.  Word spread and now we have a rather large contingent going over. This is on a different trail than the Wilderness Marathon so it is sure to be new to almost everyone.

Yes, it starts at 6:07 a.m.
