Lovely evening for a night run! Been having some ITB issues since May after trying new trail shoes, but it's been resolving ever since I made the switch back to road runners during the Van 100. Does anyone need a size 9 Brooks Cascadia? Can't use them anymore, and they're still in great shape!! (I'm serious)
Anyhow, I hope it holds up to the distance. If last nights 6 hr run is any indication, then I think I can start to allow myself to get excited about the upcoming 100-miler :)
Thanks to Wendy and her son for marking the parts of the course they could without getting hassled about marking too early. A bunch of us still missed a couple km at the beginning even with very detailed directions in hand, so I was sure happy to see those white signs along the way for most of it. It was VERY helpful, and it gave me alot more confidence about the race in less than 3 weeks from now. Baldwin, my friend Krys and I came in at around 1:15am, while Bill, Ellie, and some other fasties polished off the section in under 4.5 hrs. Sigh. Well, if I can't be fast, I might as well take some good pictures!! Hope this works. Cheers.
