Congrats to Shay, Vanessa, Angus and John who kicked some serious butt and came home with the hardware in the 15th annual Marathon Shuffle in Powell River, BC this past weekend!
Here's an article on the Marathon Shuffle from the Powell River Peak.
This ~35K run is one of the most fun, low key events I've ever participated in. It's in a beautiful part of the world and the people of Powell River really take care of you.
I'm disappointed that I wasn't there this year. This is one of the few races I can still win and this year my arch-nemesis (the one I crossed the finish line hand-in-hand with last year, the same one who hogged the trophy all year) tag-teamed with #2 last year to jointly pull the hardware out from underneith me. Getting old and injured is certainly not what it is made out to be!
Watch your backs, brothers. Old Jackson has your numbers and will not let you off so easy next year.
