Danimal e'd me Saturday asking if I wanted to join Aaron mellow and himself in yet another assault on Mt.Finlayson.
You can guess my answer was pretty predictable!
Sure think , count me in.
The plan was for he and I to start at 8:00 from Ma Millers and hook up with m & Aa. @ 8:30 at the Goldstream Nature centre, this we did.
We were both a bit stiff and creaky at the start so we chose to go in via Sooke Lake Rd. and cross the TCH at the Ice-cream Mountain.
We both love prospectors trail, (something we both agreed on.) for the first little while I was trying to explain the plot of a book I am reading by John Gresham, Dan , after a good few minutes , told me that he thinks he read it...(The Brethren)
Where was I...Oh yes the run, ...well sure enough we were early getting to the lot but so was mel, (she must have been driving.)
Off we headed to the big Hump. That new trail that goes off to the right must be part of the new Bear Mt. development.
We hit the cliff face, into the brilliant sunshine. the running order at this stage was Ms. Skirty-pants, The D unit , Jacko and Double A. 28 through 30 minutes to the top, 15 minutes to the back exit of her majesty. Then the old luge run to the bottom by the Rd. Can you imagine street luge-ing that sucker!
Wow...
Dan and I dropped off our VIP's and headed back this time across the highway at the deep end of the Nature area, onto the Goldstream Park trail and back to Ma's.
2:22 for us 1:00 for them, a good run and good fun too!
How was your run ?
