Bill's Great Peak Ascent -- 1 Week to Go!

One week to go until the 4th running of Bill's Great Peak Ascent.

This run is perfect for those planning on running STORMY (pretty much why the event exists); those wanting to keep in top trail form after running Kneeknacker; or just wanting to do something different than the boring old Grind.

You don't have to run the full 30 km either!  Make a custom route:

  • 15 km up
  • out-and-back to St. George's
  • out and up St. George's to Mountain Highway and then down Mountain Highway

Lots of options; no excuses.

Full details can be found at the above URL but here's a brief synopsis:
  • A trail/off-road run from the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve (LSCR) to the top of Grouse Mountain and back.
  • Almost 100% off-road.  Some technical, mostly not.  Excellent views if weather's good.
  • Approximately 2 kilometers (6,700') of elevation change over roughly 30 kilometers.
Be sure to come and join in for the post-run event at the Mosquito Creek Grill (to be confirmed) where each participant is entitled to one free beer!  There'll be some draw prizes too but you gotta be there to be eligible.
