I have been baking this bread for a number of years now. The
recipe is very versatile and fool proof. I don't use a bread
machine, but have been told that it's possible to make the dough in
the machine.
Ingredients:
- 1200g of grains (the ratio of different grains/flour is up to you
and you can add different kind of seeds, nuts, flour and grains)
- I have found that 500g of whole wheat flour, 500g of rolled oats and 200g of flax seed work very well.
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 3 tbsp dry yeast
- 1000ml hot water
Prepare
a yeast dough with the above ingredients. Mix well with dough
hooks and electric mixer. Let rise in covered bowl for 1 h. Spoon
mixture (the dough is very sticky and moist) into 3 loaf pans.
Bake for 55min at 200C. When the bread is very fresh slicing is
difficult. I have an electric bread slicer that works beautifully
(still looking for an old manual one in garage sales)
