Q: | I've never done a trail run before. Is this a good place to start? |
A: | It certainly is! It’s an easy trail terrain, with no possibilities of getting lost! |
Q: | How long should the run take? |
A: | For the 25ker’s between 2-3 hours. For the 10ker’s between 30-90 mins. It all depends on your personal ability. |
Q: | Do I need to print off course instructions and bring them with me? |
A: | Nope ! The trail is easy to follow! |
Q: | What if I get lost? |
A: | There will be volunteers along the way to assist. We are 99.99% sure you will not get lost. |
Q: | What if I have to heed the call of nature? |
A: | There will be washrooms at the beginning and at the end. If you’re on the trail, you’ll have to find a bush. |
Q: | Do I need to bring food and drink to the post run party? |
A: | If you’d like, but snacks and drinks will be provided. |
Q: | What else should bring on run day? |
A: | Please check the agenda for thoughts. |
Q: | I am supposed to be self-sufficient because there is no aid provided. Can I get a friend to come out and give me food and drink along the route? |
A: | Absolutely! In fact, it would be nice if your friend were to help everyone. See aid stations and crew for some thoughts on what they might be able to do. |
Q: | Where can I park? Where can I change? |
A: | You can park on the waterfront, behind the Decoste Centre. Change areas will be provided |
Q: | Can I pay cash on the morning of the event? |
A: | We prefer you pay your Club Fat Ass membership fee (Single Day or Annual) AND register online for the event for several reasons. It's less hassle just before the run. We will have your registration information on hand to send last minute updates if necessary and follow-up after the event. If you don't sign up online, your registration will have to be typed in manually. |
