The Three Dolla Bill Run has been designed to become an off-season classic. It started out as a New Year's Day Run and a hangover cure. Seems the hang-over ultra runners won and for 2006 the date has been moved to the 4th Sunday in January. Catch up with friends that you haven't seen since the ultra season ended. Burn off some of that extra holiday season weight. Strategize about the upcoming race season with your running buddies as you drag your miserable carcasses across the frozen tundra!
This is a great first time ultra as the emphasis is more on completing than competing. Whether you set a world record or finish in 6 hours, you'll get the same warm congrats at the finish... and the same crack at some cool draw prizes.
This is our third year and we hope you will enjoy it even more than a year ago.
This event follows the guidelines provided by Club Fat Ass for safe and successful, informal endurance sports "parties":
Guests at the event download from the Internet directions based on natural and physical landmarks. As with orienteering, those who aren't familiar with the course will pause frequently to consult the written directions, giving a slight competitive advantage to those who have trained on it. Course directions are available year 'round on the course page of this website and we encourage everyone to enjoy the route as often as they please throughout the year.
