The Jitney trail is a old CN rail
line
named for the noisy diesel electric
train that carried passengers and
freight from 1890 - 1960 along this
route.
The
trail winds along the
beautiful
Northumberland Shore of Nova Scotia,
Canada. It
starts out paved for about 4 km's and
then turns into gravel for the next 100 or
so k's.
2005 marked the first ever East Coast Fat Ass
event!!! East Coast Fat Ass member Fred Mackenzie put a Highschool Leadership Class to work and Heidi and Melissa, teenage runners, became the youngest CFA hosts ever. They hosted an awesome event and put some seasoned RD's to shame with their great organization.
