To get my goals set, I find it easier to tell someone what I'm doing, and then I really have to do it! So hear goes.... Training:- Forget about trying to convert unmeasurable training runs to Kilometres or Miles.(for us trail runners, it's just a hangover from our 10K days...) Up my average training hours per week to 12,throughout the year, with some more roads and trails. Make one of my runs at least 4 hours.(this will give me hours in the bank plus a couple of rest days) Get in some dawn running in the spring. (What could be better than to start your working day with a 2 hour blast of the 'hood.) Cut down on the caffiene and get to sleep by 23:00 at the latest. Ultra races:- Lord Hill 50K Snohomish, WA (Feb) Mountain Highway Madness (Gold?) Chuckanut Mountain 50K Bellingham, WA Diez Vista 50K E/B Ultra 50K Skyline XTC 50K Great Walk 64K ultra.(going for a three-pete win.) The Full Monty 50K.(I'm not doing it alone!) Great Lake Walk 56K.(Lake Cowichan) Javelina Jundred (100 Miles in Arid-Zona.) H2H (maybe?) Plus as many CFA events as I can squeeze in, i.e. the Bunny and the M&M If I can do all of those I will be one happy Jackal. I Love This Sport!
